Two years after Google announced Google Chrome OS, finally the netbook based on Google Chrome OS – Samsung Series 5 Chromebook has been available. How about the netbook? Let’s go on checking.

Samsung Series 5 Chromebook measures 11.6 x 8.6 x 0.8 inches and weights 3.3. As shown in the images, Chromebook features lightweight, elegant and streamlined design. Inside, Chromebook is powered by a 1.66GHz Intel Atom dual-core N570 processor, and cones with 16GB SSD, 2GB system memory, a 12-inch LED-backlit display with an anti-reflective screen and 1-megapixel webcam. Benefit from SSD and large system memory, Chromebook can boot in less than 10 seconds and instantly resume from sleep mode, but the integrated graphics chipset can’t offer you a perfect experience when playing webpage games or watching 1080p videos.

As a Google Chrome OS-based netbook, Chromebook also features Wi-Fi connection and optional 3G in order that you always connect with the Internet. No doubt, the sync of data and app update will become more convenient and easier, but unfortunately, at present, we can’t find an alternative for Windows Live Writer or Skype, apparently in term of applications, Google Chrome OS has a long way to go.

For the moment, if you’re a big fan of Chrome OS or enterprise customer, the Chromebook should be satisfied with your curiosity and your daily work.
